I've never heard of serviceberry plants before. They are lovely!
I've never heard of them before either and I visit my sister in Oregon a lot. Are they like blackberries?
They are more like wild plums! The Native Americans around here used to smash them up with dried meat to make pemmican.
Remarkable! I got sidetracked for quite awhile looking up info on the serviceberry shrub! Strange that I haven't heard of it before. I like the way the ferns are unwinding in the first photo.
