This brave clump of grass caught my eye this morning. The heavy overnight rains left it stranded in this puddle. But you can see ... from the reflection - The clouds are breaking up! Soon this will be just another ... Random clump of grass. Growing through cracks in the pavement.
The rain came down so hard yesterday afternoon that the pond seemed to be boiling over. I managed to get this shot before my umbrella became saturated and I got soaked.
I found this grove of autumn glory in Hood River and had to try to capture the colors and textures it presented. Shortly after the shot, the rain began pouring down ... of course we were walking!
And look what happened as soon as we got back in the car!
Yesterday started out cloudy. Then the sun started peeking out, Warming the air. Soon this puddle will be gone. Leaving just mud. And the reflection of the sun behind the trees will have to wait for another rainy day.
As life changes, I find myself far from what my dreams had imagined. Reality has found me caring for my elderly mom who is sliding deeper into Alzheimers ... every day has become a unique challenge. The best I can do is to try to life as normal as possible for those around me.
