Abandoned Fence ...

Last week was so hard, with Dad being in the hospital after a major stroke (his prognosis is not good) ... all the running back and forth ... the stress and worry ... the grieving that comes when you have to prepare to lose someone you love ...

A bright moment in the darkness came when the abandoned church across the street was over-run with activity - an episode of the TV show "Grimm" was being filmed there.

I have never seen Grimm, but I from the sounds I heard coming from the set, I can only imagine what kind of creatures and situations they deal with! There was lots and lots of gunfire, and the occasional howling in the woods.

After 2 nights of shooting, they packed up and left.

They didn't pick up their props (like this chain link fence and barrels in the usually bare hallway) for a couple of days -
I was lucky to be able to get a couple of quick shots!

I specifically took this shot because
It's "Friday Fences" time!!!

  1. So sorry to hear about your Dad. My prayers go out to you and your family.

I watch Grimm every once in awhile - bad fairy tale creatures come to life kind of show.
It would neat to see your 'scene' in the show.

  4. I am so very sorry about your Dad! It's so hard to go through losing your father. I'll keep you in prayer.

How NEAT that you were able to take pictures of the props left behind in that TV shoot. I bet it was interesting getting to hear all the noises.

But the capture is wonderful!! I bet your abandoned church will look like someplace entirely different when it gets to the screen!

  6. That was a great distraction, wasn't it? ((hugs)) I liked being there that second night. All the crashing, machine gun fire and (very faintly) howling over there made for a VERY interesting evening. Wish I could have been there to take pictures before all the props were taken away.

Love you, Sissy--This is a GREAT photo!
