Queen Anne's Lace Lace

Sissie and I went for a walk yesterday.
We found this Queen Anne's Lace (Daucus carota) - one of the biggest we'd ever seen!

Now I know why it's called Queen Anne's LACE!!!

  1. I always wondered what Queen Anne's Lace looked like...it is lovely. I so enjoy all the botany lessons I get visiting you guys...you are the best...love you.

  2. Oh. OH! Sissy--I'm getting goosebumps looking at this photo--it looks so amazing. Wasn't that incredible??? I've NEVER seen a Queen Anne's Lace this large before.

    This fills my eyes.

  3. The lace on the palm of your hand reminds me on the circles of tie-dye:) Beautiful!

  4. I have never thought of photographing the shadows cast by the flowers before! What a marvellous idea, and WHY do I have to go to work, when I have a new idea to play with?
