Autumn Flower Surprise

The local wildflowers have come and gone, winter season is nearly upon us.

So I was pleasantly surprised when I saw this beautiful yellow flower next to the road ...
covered in raindrops ...

I don't think it will be there long, as we are expecting freezing temperatures Saturday night.
But I sure enjoyed it on Friday!

  1. That is so beautiful with all the raindrops on it, great photos. We're below freezing every night now, and occasionally don't get above freezing during the day, so it wouldn't survive here. But then I looked at the weather forecast for Fairbanks Alaska, and suddenly felt like we're in a heatwave!

  6. What lovely flowers--and yellow ones with jewels to boot! (sigh) I already miss spring and summer. Thank you for a look at summer's last harrah!

  7. Thank you, dear Clytie, for thinking of me and taking time to send up a prayer. I am fine; my computer has not been so fine for a long while so I'm very much out of the loops and out of the habit of posting. I have been browsing your fabulous blogs - they all bring such joy! Perhaps during my Christmas Break I can get back into the swing of things. Grandchild Number 5 just arrived so I might be distracted some more. ♥
