I have been working on converting a bunch of negatives to digital format, to replace photos lost over the years (mostly when the roof leaked on my box of memories) ...
This particular photo was taken while on a tour bus trip we took to France back in 1984(ish). (How I wish I had labeled those negative folders!!!)
Don't you just love that drop-down gate? I would hate to be standing under it when it came down!!!
It's "Fridays Fences" time over at Jan and Jer's - come join us to see amazing fence "posts" from around the world!
P.S. Do you wonder how I am converting my negatives? I put together a "negative to positive conversion kit" - for FREE! To see how I did it - and you can too! - visit my Random Finds post that explains the whole process!

Oh, how frustrating to have lost photos because of a leak! It's great you have negatives though and have figured out how to convert them into positives.
ReplyDeleteYep, standing under the gate as it closed would not be a pleasant experience!
That's a very intimidating gate...almost like 'jaws'!!
ReplyDeleteMakes for a great security gate!
ReplyDeleteLove the purple color too.
I would hate for that fence to fall on me!
ReplyDeleteneat photo. kind of scary looking though. i would have to have someone with me to walk into there. (:
ReplyDeleteHow awful that you lost so many of your past photos! Great gate picture!
ReplyDeleteI would hate to lose all my old photos. I'm trying to remember to label all those faces my kids and grandkids won't know. I have a ton of photos in my mom's collection that I can't name. I'll have to check out how you're managing to change negatives into digial. I could use that technology. Love the gate!
ReplyDeleteThat fence looks lethal if it drops on someone, but maybe that was the original purpose of it
ReplyDeleteLovely portcullis!!
ReplyDeleteI think I'd be afraid to walk under it. It is cool though@
ReplyDeleteYIKES!
ReplyDeleteWow..that's one impressive gate!
ReplyDeleteThe picture turned out really well, I ran over to your negative experiment and thats very interesting. That is a scary fence you found, I dont think it would pass OH&S these days lol
