The baby wrens of Cabin 57 are gone.
Sissie and I went to see them on Monday, and found this.
One lone egg that never hatched.
So of 6 eggs, 5 hatched. Of five baby birds, one got pushed (or fell) out of the nest and died.
Now there are four new birds in our neighborhood ...
To sing beautiful songs!
To brighten our days!
Wow--wasn't that an adventure?! What a beautiful picture you caught.
ReplyDeleteWrens are such lovely little friends.
Thanks for sharing these birds and their growth, it was a lot of fun to read and see the pictures. We've got swallows building a nest at the roof-line of our house, but I can't usually get pictures of them because the nest is too high. Sometimes I can find a ground nest from a different bird type, it's getting to that time of the year again.
ReplyDeleteSad to see them go, but four new birds in the neighborhood is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThese are such special pitures...so rare to get to watch the progression of life in nature. Thank you for sharing it with those of us who love you and your photos.
ReplyDeleteI hope your weekend is divine. Love you.
Awe! Sad they are gone, but I'm glad they successfully left the nest to go on as they should! I just noticed that I have a robin and her three babies in the tree in the front yard. I am trying to get a shot of them, they are up a little too high, and I try to keep my distance from them. But stay tuned! :)
