Drying Corn

What can be done with a case of corn from the Gleaners? Too much to eat, too beautiful to throw out, too old to freeze or can. I'm thinking winter chicken food! Dried by the sun and breeze, a beautiful yard decoration for now. I have done this every fall, and have yet to get tired of seeing the plump golden kernels shrinking and turning dark yellow and orange through the fall harvest season.

  2. What a useful yet festive way to use up the old corn. I bet those chickens will sure be happy to see them in a month or so. Blessings to you and yours. Love and Light, Nina P

  3. I think most anything will eat it when it is dry. It will also make good seed for next year.

I think it is the proper thing to do, that is, encourage spiders to keep the bug population down. Especially the flying bugs.
