Time Out at the Beach ...

The seagulls were persistent ...
Even coming into the house to reach a dropped breadcrumb!

At times, it was almost scary to venture out onto the deck ...
Not that it would have been comfortable what with the SNOW and all!

"Mine!"

As we were preparing to leave the beach house that was our refuge for 3 days, I caught this picture of my sister and I in the coffee pot.

  1. I am convinced at the palpable intelligence of birds.

Another self portrait! And the lovely Beth as a bonus, too.

  4. Hi Sis, nice to meet you in the reflection! Coffee sounds good right about now. Seagulls, sigh. Annoying and amusing at the same time.

  5. Nice pictures ! It must be very cold, at your place, for the seagulls to be that friendly...

  7. And why, pray tell, were the birds able to come indoors? They do have their own little personalities, and you caught them well. How fun to be trapped in a coffee pot!

  9. You both look so happy! I love seagulls, but they can be rather pushy.

  10. The seagulls are quite persistent and where I live they hang out in shopping center parking lots... not sure why. Cute reflections!

  11. What a happy family portrait! A beach house seems like the perfect place to spend Thanksgiving, snow or no! We did that a couple years ago in Anacortes, and it was like one big house party all weekend long.

  12. I LOVE this post!!! I really like that reflection shot, too--in the coffee pot! We sure did have a fun time, didn't we?! Those seagulls were perfectly magical--and inspiring, even! lol I think I showed you--but I've come up with a new cartoon seagull. A cranky fellow who's persistently getting into trouble...
