Tiger Lilies

Many years ago mom planted some tiger lilies near the serviceberry tree on the south edge of their property. Over the years the tree got bigger, blocking the sunlight. The lilies grew up, but didn't bloom. Last winter's snowstorms toppled the old tree. Now the lilies have plenty of light, and are blooming all over the place! On a downside, the blackberry vines are taking over as well. Sigh ... such is the price of beauty!

On a personal note - a heartfelt thank you to our friends and family all over the world who have been thinking of and/or praying for my family after my parents' car accident. UPDATE: Dad is doing much better! He is joking with the nurses, which is a very good sign. Mom has been caught laughing with her friends, which is also a very good sign. God bless you all.

  3. Clytie, beautiful photo and story. From apparent destruction comes new strength, new growth/regrowth, a new birth of soft gentle beauty…

May you find new Hope, and renewed Faith from your “destruction”. May there be new healing of mind, body and soul and may the Beauty of the Master Gardner fill your heats with Healing Love, Hope, Peace and Understanding. Love and Light. Nina P.

  4. Am so glad your folks are doing better now after their car accident. So many car accidents can be fatal and to survive one is often a miracle. I also enjoyed looking through your posts on your other blogs and then came here to leave this comment and to thank you for visiting and commenting on my flowers blog. I was out early today taking pictures of the sunflowers hoping to get a nice picture before it got to late or too hot and humid. I responded to your comment on that blog.

Thanks for your visits and comments.
