Spring Creeps Closer!
Yesterday my sister Beth and I went tramping through the woods -- we get to do this rarely, sometimes once a month ... sometimes once a year. We found so many cool things! Faces in trees, unusual mosses and mushrooms, delicate springtime flowers. Most of all, we found peace and serenity and enjoyment in each others' presence. And lots of humor! At one point we were taking pictures of mushrooms at the same time, crouched down on the damp forest floor, bums in the air ... and laughing hysterically at the picture it would have made. It was a wonderful day.

I agree! It was a wonderful day--I treasure our times together, Sissy.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are WONDERFUL. I am always amazed at how differently our photos turn out--even though we are photographing the same thing.
Ooooh, your mayflower turned out BEAUTIFUL, Honey! And the brillance of the sunshine casting light through that leaf..and that bell! Picture did not turn out anything like yours!
These pictures fill my eyes.
And I have to agree with you, one of the high points of the day was when we started laughing, as side by side elbow to elbow, cameras in hand, as we endeavored to capture those mushrooms under that wonderful pile of brush...well, laughing together over the sight we must have been was just hilarious!
((hugs)) Thank you for such a wonderful day!
