There are many fir trees in the woods behind the house. This one had an odd tilt to its base that made me curious. As I rounded the other side of the tree, I saw why! This beautiful fir grew out of the stump of an old growth log ... which is now rotting away. This has to be a place where fairies come out to play "castle", don't you think?
Oh, Sissy! How beautiful! I'm positive the fairies indeed play castle there--and if you look closely, I bet you'll find a few of them live there, too.
